sooner born...

irish bred...? since our baby will be in sooner territory most of its life, i figured i should get aj a little something that aaron would appreciate.

our baby will be raised both a sooner fan and an irish fan...i suppose it will be easier than raising a sooner fan and a texas fan...

21 weeks

Your baby now weighs about three-quarters of a pound and is approximately 10 1/2 inches long, the length of a carrot. You may soon feel like she's practicing martial arts as her initial fluttering movements turn into full-fledged kicks and nudges. You may also discover a pattern to her activity as you get to know her better. In other developments, your baby's eyebrows and lids are present now, and if you're having a girl, her vagina has begun to form as well. Baby's digestive system is busy creating meconium (a tarry black substance made of swallowed amniotic fluid, digestive secretion, and dead cells), which will fill the first diaper after birth. And, if baby is a girl, her womb is now stocked up with her lifetime supply of six million eggs (the number will drop to around one million by birth).

its official...aaron and i have both felt baby aj move from the outside of my growing belly! :) yay! up until this point i feel like i may have felt movement but was unsure...(it felt like an eye twitch in my stomach) but yesterday morning after aaron left for work, i felt it from the outside! when we both got home from church last night we were laying in bed and aaron got to feel it! what a great feeling!

keep growing, baby aj! :)

Oh yes, you shaped me first inside, then out;
you formed me in my mother's womb.
I thank you, High God—you're breathtaking!
Body and soul, I am marvelously made!
I worship in adoration—what a creation!
You know me inside and out,
you know every bone in my body;
You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit,
how I was sculpted from nothing into something.
Like an open book, you watched me grow from conception to birth;
all the stages of my life were spread out before you,
The days of my life all prepared
before I'd even lived one day.

100th post!

happy 100th post to myself! :) i couldn't think of a better post than to post the latest and greatest with baby aj! we went in for our 20 week appointment today, although i'm officially only 19 weeks and a few days. the ultrasound shows that we are still a week ahead of my due date, so i'm sort of 20 weeks sort of 19 weeks.

to quote dr. hager, 'everything looks perfect!' yay! that's exactly what aaron and i have been hoping and praying for! 10 fingers, 10 toes, functioning limbs, and a strong heartbeat! so here are aj's most recent pics!

you may or may not be able to see the #1 that aj is giving us in the picture above

above is aj's foot

above is aj looking right at us!

this is one of the first pictures she took and aj was sleeping at the beginning of the ultrasound, so his/her arm is covering it's face sleeping soundly. but to get a good look at everything else, she started pushing on my belly to get him/her to wake up and when it did, we got to see aj yawn twice! it was so neat seeing aj move around after that and yawn! i can't believe that i am growing a little person inside of me! what a miracle!

aj is quite a bit bigger now than at 8.5 weeks, huh? :)

to celebrate aj, my mom decided to gift aj these...

aren't they cute?!?! thanks mom!
