24 weeks

i can NOT believe that i am already 6 months pregnant and i only have about 3.5 months to go! where has the time gone?!?!

Your baby's growing steadily, having gained about 4 ounces since last week. That puts him at just over a pound. Since he's almost a foot long, he cuts a pretty lean figure at this point, but his body is filling out proportionally and he'll soon start to plump up. His brain is also growing quickly now, and his taste buds are continuing to develop. His lungs are developing "branches" of the respiratory "tree" as well as cells that produce surfactant, a substance that will help his air sacs inflate once he hits the outside world. His skin is still thin and translucent, but that will start to change soon.

How far along: 24 weeks
Total weight gain: 20 lbs. (don't judge me :) )
Maternity clothes: pants-yes, shirts-most are regular just a size bigger, dresses-maxi dresses are awesome when you're pregnant
Sleep: sleeping good so far...
Best moment this week: hearing the heartbeat at the doctor!
Movement: yes!
Food cravings: sweets
Labor signs: nope
Belly button: flat
Wedding rings: Still on

nursery part 1

so, i've just now started thinking about little aj's nursery. aaron and i have done absolutely nothing up to this point. aaron keeps saying, 'isn't it about time we start thinking about the nursery!?' i really don't know why i've put it off...maybe because we don't know what we're having, so i don't want to try to find something neutral...who knows

anyway, i finally made my first nursery move! i bought baby bedding! i really like it and i feel like its something that can very easily be made into a boy nursery or a girl nursery. what do you think?

sorry the image isn't very clear...i had to scan them in. the second picture is the crib bedding (you probably can't tell since this was a scan, but the houndstooth is the same color green as the linen trim on the skirt, not khaki like it appears)

another fun first

aaron and i both saw my belly move because of baby aj's karate practice! :) aj is moving much more often now and its wonderful! i have to say, it was a little weird getting used to it at first, but now i just love it!

i just stumbled across this picture (which i love) today of aaron and his grandpa clarence. clarence passed away last week and aaron and i flew up to spend time with family and attend the funeral. clarence was a sweet, sweet man who is now rejoicing in heaven!
