santa!

aaron and i have taken campbell to see santa every christmas since she's been born and she has done great both years. this year was no different. we went downtown to the new devon building with some friends of ours, as jeremy just took a new job with devon. we did have to wait in line for a while, but it was well worth the wait because the santa was legit! all his hair was real! :) campbell loved him and kept saying 'santa big hug' i hope this next baby loves santa as much as campbell does!

christmas cookies

campbell is at a really fun age. she's really starting to want to help either me or my mom in the kitchen and its so fun to let her help make whatever it is that we're making. today, we decided to make some christmas cookies to take to a christmas party tonight. she helped me make the dough a couple of days ago (which she loved!), and today she got to help cut the circles and decorate them. she was in heaven! :)

i feel huge

so, i'm just now getting around to taking my first belly picture for this pregnancy. i'm sure i was avoiding it like the plague because a) i have felt so sick b) i started showing way earlier this time around, so i didn't want to look 20 weeks when i was really only 12 c) life is busy busy this time of year. so i finally got around to asking aaron to take my picture this last sunday. i'll be 19 weeks this week, so this picture was just over 18 weeks. as far as baby woolsey goes, he/she is growing marvelously! i've had a lot more anxiety with this pregnancy, so it was a great confirmation last week when we got to see the baby at the ultrasound! he/she was moving around a lot and everything measured as it should! thank you, Jesus! and its looking like i may be birthing another whopper of a baby, he/she is already measuring a week ahead. we will also be finding out the gender of our baby on thanksgiving! we can't wait! campbell walks into what will be the new nursery and says 'sister room' :) so stay tuned!

halloween and baby #2 update

happy halloween from the island of sodor! :) campbell is obsessed with all things mechanical i think: thomas the train, real trains, cranes, tractors, etc. but she sure looks cute while liking all these boyish things! i only got 1 picture of her from halloween and its a little blurry, but here she is!
update on baby #2: i'm sad to say that i'm still nauseous! SO ready for this part to come to an end, as i'll be 16 weeks tomorrow. i'll post a belly picture soon because i definitely have one. dr hager says i can thank campbell for stretching out all my stomach muscles. :) as of today, baby is the size of an avocado, about 4.5-5 inches long. this pregnancy seems to be going by a bit quicker now that i'm not feeling as sick as i did in the beginning. our appointment where we'll find out boy or girl is in less than 2 weeks! i can't believe that we're already almost half way there.

just for memory's sake

i threw up today. for those of you who really know me well, you know that i have a genuine phobia of throw up. eww... i managed to go 25 years without throwing up; the last time was when i was 5 and i got stung in the armpit by a bumble bee. i'll be 13 weeks tomorrow and i thought i'd started to turn the corner in terms of feeling sick. not.so.much. please continue to pray for no more nausea and lots of energy! on a more positive note, i went to the doctor on wednesday and got to hear a strong heartbeat which was comforting. we'll be finding out in a short 5 weeks if this baby is a boy or girl!!

busted!

we are pregnant! i'm 12 weeks today, which puts me due april 19. i have felt a lot sicker this go around and i started feeling sicker sooner which really stinks, but hopefully i'll be turning a corner soon! we'll keep you updated as we are updated, but in the mean time, we'd love your prayers for a full term, healthy baby! :)

omniplex

when campbell turned 2 back in may, my brother said that he wanted to take her to the omniplex every year for her birthday - just he and cam. sweet, right? they have a toddler area for the kids to run around, so i suggested that they get this tradition started and go this year. i was telling him that mornings are better because she'll have a nap in the afternoon and that i'd leave him with diapers and wipes and he sort of froze. i reminded him that she's only 2 and still in diapers and he nervously said that maybe he would wait to start taking her until she's potty trained. then i reminded him that even when she's potty trained, she'll still need help going to the bathroom. so he nervously said that he thought maybe he'd wait until she was to an age where she wouldn't need help going to the bathroom. i laughed and told kyle that if he was to wait that long, that he would be waiting 7ish years! HA! so we settled on me coming along until she's an able bodied person who can take herself to the restroom. :) so here is our first adventure to the oklahoma science museum!

and we're back

sorry for the absence - we've been very busy around here! aaron and i just took our annual anniversary trip and we are tuckered out! we decided to go to alaska this year to visit one of my favorite people, mary! she and i have been friends since college. aaron's family came down a few days before we left to spend time with us before we left and they stayed with campbell for 2 days and then they gave her to my family for the rest of our trip. this was our first for us to both be away from campbell, and surprisingly it was easier than i was anticipating. i think what really made it easy was the fact that we were so busy, that i didn't even really have time to think about being so far away from her. she did great! she didn't have one meltdown all week! PTL! so onto our trip - mary really made our trip fun by filling our days with all things alaska. we ate at local places, drove and toured denali national park, we went fly fishing, we went white water rafting, we camped, etc. we really had a great time spending time with her and getting to see a bit of what her life is like up there. it was also really neat being there over the solstice! so weird to have almost 24 hours of daylight! overall, we had a wonderful time and i'm so thankful that i got to see mary!

2 year pictures

we had campbell's 2 year pictures taken earlier this week and the photographer we used was wonderful! megan's theory is that she wouldn't charge something that she herself couldn't afford = awesome! :) anyway, we were very happy with our experience with her. she put a 'sneak peek' up on her blog. here are a few of the pictures, but hop on over to her photography blog to see the rest! thanks megan for beautiful photos!
